Since many years DONIC is engaged in the research of vibrations of tt-bats with the DICON and the SENSO technology DONIC has launched the first output of this research, that has led to a revolution in the construction of table tennis blades.
To go ahead the DONIC engineers have designed analysed and optimised completely new design patterns of the tt-blade that have been tested together with their top-players in hundreds of tests.
The result is named IMPULS technology and it is the next revolution in blades design especially designed for the 40 mm ball!
SUPERIOR ACCELERATION
The totally 11 veneers are glued with a high-elastic contact glue
giving a so far unknown flexibility to each veneer.
In connection with the specially designed air chambers
incorporated in the central balsa veneers the IMPULS blade
develops a catapult effect resulting from the tension between the different veneers.
This catapult effect is increasing speed and spin of the ball proportionally
with the power of the stroke that makes the IMPULS bat the ideal tool for the 40 mm ball.

UNMATCHED CONTROL
The vibration impulse of the ball is reinforced by the unique veneer design
(3 extremely thin beech veneers at the outside, 5 light and air permeable
balsa veneers in the inner four of them glued diagonally, see sketch).
Then the vibration impulse is directed to the handle respectively to
the reception points of the hand by specially designed cuttings in the centre veneer.
The feedback of the ball bounce is clear and strong.
The feeling for the ball unbelievable.

OPTIMUM WEIGHT
Despite of the 11-ply construction the weight of the IMPULS blade
is low at approx. 85 grs due the use of extremely light balsa in the centre veneers.
The reaction time as well as the acceleration are further increased.

PERFECT SOUND
The players experience when speed glueing that
the sound improves the feedback for the stroke.
Thanks to the balsa wood air chambers in combination
with the extremely hard beech outer veneers,
there results a light and clear sound which improves the ball feeling considerably.

HIGHEST DURABILITY
Due to the 11-ply construction
(especially due to the 6 outer beech veneers)
as well as due to the elastic contact glueing,
the impulse blade has an outstanding stability.
